Fire & Security Engineer
£34,000 – £37,000 | Company van & fuel | Paid travel | Overtime & callout
Location - Covering Wolverhampton and some sites in West Midlands
Full-time, permanent
The Role
An established fire and security services provider is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its service and maintenance team. This is a stable, long-term role covering local commercial and public-sector sites, offering structured callout, paid travel time, and clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems
- Carry out servicing and small works on:
- Intruder alarms
- Access control systems (including SALTO)
- CCTV systems
- Nurse call systems
- Attend reactive callouts and emergency breakdowns
- Complete service reports and compliance documentation
- Work independently while delivering a high standard of customer service
- Participate in the on-call rota
Callout & Overtime
- 1 in 4 callout rota
- £100 standby payment
- Weekend and overtime available
- Overtime paid at time and a half
Salary & Benefits
- £34,000 – £37,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Company van and fuel card provided
- Paid travel time after the first 30 minutes

Requirements
- Proven experience in fire and security servicing and maintenance
- Strong fault-finding skills across multiple systems
- Experience with SALTO access control (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working independently
- Willingness to participate in a 1 in 4 callout rota
