Maintenance Electrician

Location: Primary & Secondary Schools – Bridlington (7 Sites)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
On-Call: 1 in 4 (£110 standby + 2 hours paid per call-out)
Vehicle: Pool van provided (travel to site only)
Tools & Parking: Provided on all sites

The Role

We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Maintenance Electrician to support a portfolio of 7 primary and secondary schools across Bridlington. This is a mobile role with a pool van provided, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance within live educational environments.

You will play a key role in ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of school facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) including:

  • Emergency lighting tests

  • DB and RCD checks

  • Fire alarm checks

  • L8 compliance checks

• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks including lighting, power, and socket faults.

• Upgrade and install LED lighting systems.

• Conduct AHU filter changes and general building fabric repairs where required.

• Perform electrical fault finding and ensure all works are completed safely and efficiently.

• Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota (£110 standby + paid call-outs).

• Ensure all works comply with health & safety standards and statutory regulations.
