Job Title: Multi-skilled Engineer

As a multi-skilled engineer, you will be joining a part of a larger team of multi skilled engineers working on well known, premium commercial sites across the central belt. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems gas systems and AC systems, small installation projects, servicing, and repairs. You will also be helping the larger team with general building maintenance when required.
Working as part of the shift operations team, reporting operationally to the M&E Manager, you will be expected to take a proactive role in the maintenance of the building electrical assets at the site, through planned maintenance, compliance and reactive requests. As the static electrician, you will be key to the effective and continuous availability of the Electrical Services associated with all buildings within the portfolio. You will provide support to the M&E Manager in maintaining and fault finding of the above assets.
You should gain an understanding of the services within the buildings and be able to use this knowledge to assist in system and plant fault identification and rectification. Part of your role will be to assist and carry out as a competent person both controlled and emergency switching of LV systems within the building.
What you’ll need for this role:
Commercial gas qualifications
18th Edition, JIB card, HVAP, LVAP or 2391 would be an advantage.
As a multi-skilled engineer, you will be working in a client facing role and around the public day to day. A knowledge of health and safety will be an advantage.
Duties you will be carrying out in this role:
You will be required to undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work on the following tasks as a multi-skilled engineer:
Maintenance to commercial gas or AC systems
Service and repair of lighting and power distribution systems.
Reactive repairs to all types of lighting systems and power distribution systems.
Service and repair of motors and pumps.
Service and repair of fan coil units and associated systems.
Service and repair to HVAC control panels.
Service and repair of fire alarm systems.
Service and repair to the general fabric of the building e.g., minor joinery, plumbing and exterior works
