A growing building services and HVAC specialist is looking to recruit two experienced Air Conditioning Engineers / AC Installers to support continued contract growth across South & West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
With offices in Sheffield and Manchester and a team of 18 engineers, this company delivers mechanical and HVAC services across a range of high-profile commercial environments including NHS facilities, retail and fast-food outlets, and student accommodation.
This role is ideal for an experienced AC installer with strong mechanical knowledge who is comfortable working in client-facing environments and capable of supporting service and call-out work when required.
The Role
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will primarily focus on installation projects, while also supporting service, maintenance and call-out work across the company’s commercial contracts.
Typical duties include:

Installation of split systems, VRV/VRF systems and commercial HVAC equipment

Carrying out commissioning and testing of AC systems

Supporting fault finding, servicing and maintenance

Attending reactive call-outs when required

Working across commercial sites including NHS, retail and accommodation

Representing the business professionally while working on client-facing sites
Working Hours & Benefits

40 hour working week

08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

Door-to-door travel paid

Overtime paid at time and a half

Double time on Sundays

1 in 10 call-out rota

Standby allowance £10 per day

Requirements
To be considered, candidates should have:
-
Minimum 7–8 years experience within air conditioning / HVAC engineering

Strong installation background
-
Experience with service and fault finding
-
F-Gas qualification
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Experience working within commercial environments
-
Strong client-facing communication skills
Engineers must come from a genuine HVAC / mechanical background — applicants from general FM or fabric roles without AC installation experience will not be considered.
