Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire & Surrounding Areas, Occasionally London
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (Depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Call out Rota: 1 in 11 paid at £105 per week

Job Description:
The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for providing planned maintenance, reactive service, attending breakdowns, and fault finding on VRVs, VRFs, splits, and multi-splits in commercial properties. The role involves traveling throughout Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance, fault finding/diagnosis, and repairs on VRFs, split-type air conditioning, and refrigeration plant in commercial properties.
  • Project Work: Occasionally engage in other air conditioning works, from installation to testing and commissioning, within agreed programmes.
  • Documentation: Complete commissioning certificates.
  • Material Management: Ensure the distribution and safe keeping of materials on site, and notify any defects or shortfalls.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical advice to clients on site as needed.


  • Qualifications:
  • Must be C&G Level 2 Fgas and ODS Regulations: Cat 1 qualified.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience as an air conditioning service, breakdown, and repair engineer.
  • Skills:
  • Strong fault-finding skills.
  • Good organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Driving License: A full valid UK driving license is essential.
