Electrical Project Supervisor

Up to £40k as a basic salary
Door to door travel paid


Main Purpose
 
  • To assist in the delivery of larger projects and lead smaller projects in a manner that allows the client to meet the company objective of being the UK’s leading niche market HVAC provider while retaining the spiritual trinity of business intent, customer connection and employee experience

Key Result Areas (Tasks / Main Duties)
 
  • Assisting the Project Manager in delivering the project scope either specifically in a Mechanical / Electrical / M&E capacity. Being responsible on smaller projects.
  • Able to provide progress reports to the relevant stakeholders (Client / ATS Management)Reviewing and understanding the scope of works for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls
  • Visiting Site during design and delivery stage
  • Interpret and understand design documents including schedules, control philosophies and drawings
  • Competent and confident communicator
  •  - Liaising with client Site Manager
  •  - Liaising with other Sub-Contractors
  •  - Dealing with & liaising directly with the clients project delivery team
  •  - Liaising and directing employed operatives
  •  - Liaising and directing sub contractors
  • Reviewing and understanding client subcontract documents to understand the scope of the works required. Starting to understand NEC 3.
  • Able to contribute to a Project Risk Register, addressing project risks adequately and proactively
  • Assisting the Project Manager with the costs of a project, including variations / changes to scope in accordance with the project specific contract. Including ensuring that the opening profit margin is exceeded
  • Raising Bid Tabs and progressing orders through to delivery
  • Ensuring the H&S requirements during the delivery of a project are met including the development of site specific RAMS
  • Read and understand project specifications
  • Read and understand engineer schedules and drawings
  • Understand and manage the quality requirements of a project and ensure the project ITP / Quality Plan is adhered to through the project, keeping accurate records
  • Attend FAT and ensure Controls function in accordance with project control philosophy
  • Attend FAT and check AHUs / fans meet requirements of supplier drawings and project specification (so checking dimensions, quality of mechanical and electrical work)
  • Attend FAT and check OCU/ fans meet requirements of supplier drawings and project specification (so checking dimensions, quality of mechanical and electrical work)
  • Contributing to the project delivery programme as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Developing and collating the O&M manual for the project, ensuring it is completed for the handover of the scheme
  • Work with the Project Manager to attain Completion with the client to identify the client has a fully operational solution and the defect period has started in accordance with the specific project contract requirements
  • Be part of the training of clients / end users in use of the systems, being support to the commissioning engineer
  • Troubleshooting during commissioning – i.e. working out why a system is not working correctly and developing a solution
  • Troubleshooting and management of the defect period
  • Provide toolbox type talks to other members of the design and delivery teams to improve knowledge base internally
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in your specialist area
