Air Conditioning Engineer

Location: Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, proactive, and reactive maintenance within agreed SLAs

• Complete compressor checks and carry out pressure testing for leak detection

• Fault-find and diagnose issues across air conditioning and associated electrical systems

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations (Risk Assessments, F-Gas, LV systems, COSHH)

• Deliver high standards of service and exceed customer expectations

• Provide first-line reactive electrical and switchgear support alongside AC duties

• Participate in callout rota (minimum 1 in 4) and occasional night work

• Manage contractors on site and issue Permits to Work

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and small installations across the region

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience working on air conditioning systems, including compressor checks and pressure leak testing

• City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (or CITB equivalent)

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration & AC Systems

Desirable

• 18th Edition (BS7671)

• Recognised AC apprenticeship

• Good understanding of electrical systems and LV distribution
