Commercial Quantity Surveyor

Due to a significant new contract win our client is looking to appoint a QS, and are very much open to applications from all levels of experience from recent graduates through to fully qualified and experienced QS candidates, and Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This role will support the Senior Commercial Manager on the works streams, delivering repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned lifecycle works, ensuring that projects are evaluated, priced and delivered appropriately and in line with the contracts and customer agreements.

You will compile monthly reports by projects, manage change and variation processes, and raise recompense events and early warnings as required.

This is an incredibly fast paced role where you will be based in the office Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. All training on their CAFM system will be provided along with all client system/portal training.

Role & Responsibilities
Provide stable and profitable contracts
Build Up and Generate Specifications & Scope of works based on NHF Schedule of Rates.
Management of Commercial WIP & Cost Liabilities
Collate, submit, and agree applications/payment with the client including aged debt management
Generate cost & Value reporting information
Subcontractor Management, Including agreeing/Negotiating Rates, Procurement, payment, and systems management.
Attend contractual meetings with Stakeholders & produce any specific commercial information required for these meetings.
Support identification, Preparation, and pricing of new works opportunities/Tenders.

Candidate Profile
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial capacity, working in the Construction Sector
Experience working with typical Pricing agreements & Frameworks, including knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates.
Experience Measuring Works, Generating and Agreeing applications.
Experience Reviewing, Validating and approving subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF)
Strong numeracy and financial management skills
