Project Manager – Class 6 Cleanroom Project
£350 / £400 a day salay

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced Project Manager, with experience in delivering commercial fit outs, to join this global leader in the FM & Real Estate market.

They have a £14mil pound project coming to and end in 3/4 months time and wants someone to support the current Project Manager with closing things off and commissioning.


You will work with your portfolio of clients, across the UK, to identify requirements for upgrades in technology, plant and facilities, and liaise with the clients to scope and complete the works to satisfaction.

You will have the technical knowledge and background in M&E to be able to truly become a trusted adviser to your clients.  This role will require a strong presence on client sites in order to build strong relationships and trust in your recommendations.

Role & Responsibilities
 
  • Full responsibility and financial control of the projects within your control.
  • Holding responsibility for identifying and delivering a variety of project work on customer sites throughout your portfolio.
  • Managing projects from inception, mid-stream and on behalf of others as required
  • Accountability and responsibility for managing and delivery of project works
  • Leading and developing pre-construction activities, project scoping, tenders and cost planning on behalf of others and independently
  • Liaising with key stakeholders on their requirements and explaining feasibility of their schemes.
  • Working with developers, designers and sub-contractors to define and document scopes of works.
  • Managing, running and drawing up tenders on behalf of the customer as required.
  • Working within the current CDM process, assuming on the role of principle contractor. 
  • Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the projects “end to end”; inc estimating, business development, quantity surveying, sub-contractor management and site manager duties
  • Identifying and developing a short/medium and long-term pipeline of Project opportunities from the portfolio of customers.
  • Full accountability for the P&L on each project.
  • Appraisal of all sub-contractor RAMS to make sure that they are suitable and sufficient.




Candidate Profile
  • Significant demonstrable Project Management experience in an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment, with recognised technical qualification in construction, M & E or similar
  • Proven experience of running a P&L
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
  • Ability to present with confidence
  • Networking skills
  • Selling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Up to date knowledge of the construction market
  • Fully competent with Project Management methodology
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • IOSH Managing Safely and/or SMSTS
  • Recognised qualification in Project Management
  • Able to travel across the UK as the needs of the role requires.
