Job Title: Static Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Wimbledon
Salary: Up to £47,000 + Benefits

We’re recruiting for an experienced Static Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management company on a single, permanent site in Wimbledon. This is a stable, long-term role focused on maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems across a depot and associated train equipment.

This position is ideal for an engineer with strong hands-on experience in brazing, compressor work, and refrigeration fault-finding, looking for a secure static role with excellent hours and benefits.

• Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair refrigeration systems across the depot and trains

• Fault-find and diagnose refrigeration system issues, including compressors and controls

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs

• Perform brazing, soldering, and pipework fabrication for repairs and modifications

• Work on compressors, including replacement, repairs, pressure testing, and commissioning

• Handle refrigerants safely: recovery, charging, leak detection, and pressure testing in line with F-Gas regulations

• Ensure all works comply with health & safety and statutory requirements

• Liaise with site teams and contractors to ensure smooth daily operations

• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for compliance and audits

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Refrigeration Engineer (static or commercial environment)

• Strong experience with brazing and compressor work (essential)

• F-Gas certification (essential)

• NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Refrigeration / Mechanical Services

• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently on a static site
