Air Conditioning Engineer – Midlands & South UK

Salary: Up to £43,000 basic (DOE) | OTE £63,000+
Location: Midlands & South England | Mobile Role

Overview

A leading industrial and commercial air conditioning company is expanding its team and seeking experienced Air Conditioning Engineers. This is a mobile field-based role, servicing and maintaining F-Gas HVAC systems across industrial, commercial, and multi-site properties in the Midlands and South of England.

The role involves planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, commissioning, and fault-finding across a variety of sites. The successful candidate will be technically skilled, autonomous, and customer-focused, with a strong track record in commercial and industrial AC systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, maintain, and commission industrial and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems

  • Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and breakdown work on a variety of sites

  • Work autonomously from home, occasionally in pairs for larger projects

  • Travel to multiple sites across the Midlands and South UK

  • Maintain accurate service records and commissioning documentation

  • Operate safely and compliantly according to F-Gas and health & safety regulations

  • Participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 6) for reactive work


Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience in industrial and commercial HVAC / AC engineering

  • Current F-Gas qualification

  • Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi or Daikin systems

  • Knowledge of refrigeration, compressors, and controls integration

  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • 2079 City & Guilds Level 2 Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heat Pumps or equivalent

Desirable:

  • CSCS Card, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness

  • Manufacturer-specific training (Mitsubishi / Daikin)

  • DBS Enhanced
