Senior Mechanical Project Manager – HVAC & Plumbing

Location: Midlands (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + company car + benefits

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager with strong HVAC and Plumbing expertise to join a growing and dynamic team. This role offers responsibility for managing multiple mechanical projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the installation of HVAC systems, mechanical services, and hot & cold water installations for commercial and high-end projects.

  • Oversee projects from conception to completion, including planning, resource allocation, subcontractor management, and material procurement.

  • Attend and report on client site meetings, pre-start meetings, and project progress reviews.

  • Produce Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Operation & Maintenance manuals.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to client specifications.

  • Manage contract variations and support surveys, bid proposals, and negotiations.

  • Allocate projects to junior Project Managers and monitor progress across multiple contracts (£5k – £1m).

  • Act as a proactive member of the management team, improving company processes and efficiencies.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in HVAC, mechanical installations, and plumbing projects.

  • Knowledge of industry legislation, standards, and major suppliers/equipment.

  • Strong project management skills, with ability to manage teams, budgets, and schedules.

  • ONC/HNC in Building Services (HVAC) preferred.

  • Competent in CAD drawings, IT systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Health & Safety knowledge with CSCS card.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and teams.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
