Up to £42,000 + Vehicle 

Supermarket Contract

Cambridge/Northampton


42.5 hours per week, 08:30 to 17:30

The Role:

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will play a key role in our team, working on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple sites.

This position requires a flexible approach, including periods of supporting operational delivery for reactive maintenance during peak times. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete PPM schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate paperwork completion.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests, managing refrigeration equipment in customer locations.
  • Participate in a standby rota for a minimum of 4 weeks annually, including evenings and weekends.
  • Identify non-repairable faults, advise the Line Manager, and recommend suitable replacements.
  • Manage technical and compliance paperwork, ensuring it is always up to date.
  • Order and fit parts/components as required, following company procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team and colleagues to maintain quality standards.

Key Requirements: 

  • Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Previous experience post-apprenticeship
  • Refrigeration NVQ/C&G qualification
  • Refrigerant Handling C&G 2079 or equivalent CITB certificate
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to work at heights and use access equipment
